Roy [Amedessa]
Shell [Gideon]
Christie [Sarafina]
This RPG takes place approximately 300 years after the reign of Roald II and Shinkokami. Since then, Tortall has remained the most prominent power in the Eastern Lands and alongside with its Yamani allies, has advanced in technology and begun to explore the distant shores of the Western Reaches.
In 703 HE, King Artagan II––the last living male descendant and heir of the Conté line––died and the throne was thrust upon the head of his eldest daughter, Amedessa Elestra. Although not shy of female figures taking charge, not all in Tortall are comfortable with being ruled by a queen and some are concerned about to whom the Crown will go to next. The nobility in Corus are especially worried about the condition of Tortall as a state, under and after Amedessa's reign. If she fails to produce or choose an adequate heir, Tortall could endure a bloody revolution like that of its neighbour, Tusaine, in which the royalty and aristocracy were mercilessly executed by the common people.
While Corus basks in the concerns of the "Old World", Port Caynn is becoming well acquainted with the "New". It is a city brimming with diversity, activity and violence, welcoming pirates and foreigners, traders and gangsters, the Rogue and the Shang.
East Wing The East Wing consists of three floors of chambers for the New Palace's many residents as well as a variety of parlours and rooms for milder entertainment––such as reading, gossiping over tea, practicing and performing arts, or simply to have a moment's peace after a strenuous day. The third level is equipped with luxurious suites for members of the Royal Family and visiting royals and ambassadors. The second level is attributed with a balcolny, perfect for nighttime strolls and stargazing. The lower level maintans the East Wing's kitchen and launder, but also offers luxurious apartments for the Palace staff. On the north side of wing are arranged several small and quaint courtyards reserved exclusively for those who reside on the ground floor.

West Wing The majority of the New Palace's West Wing is a regal ballroom, situated at the end of the wing with a breathtaking array of windows lining three of its four walls. The ballroom opens to a broad stretch of gardens, into which parties often spill when they become too crowded inside. Over the past century, the Palace has always kept entertaining illusionists on the grounds to create spellbinding scenes and decorations for the ballroom; these illusions have never failed to impress foreign visitors and skeptical nobles attending Palace Balls. Also in the West Wing is the Royal Hall, where Court sessions are held. The Royal Hall is elaborately done, comfortably furnished and styled similarly to an amphitheatre. Some official offices have also been squeezed into the West Wing, but each are finely and pleasingly detailed.
Courtyards & Gardens The gardens are perhaps the most illustrious and elusive feature of the New Palace. Enchanted to keep the flowers and trees thriving all year round, the garden stretches across the property and leads to multiple smaller courtyards. Stone fountains touch the four corners and central location of the garden. A wide assortment of ferns, flora, trees and vegetation from every country in the world can be found within the Palace walls.
Royal Stables Laying adjacent to the eastern entrance of the New Palace are the Royal Stables: home to several of Tortall's finest calvary horses, broodmares, and stallions. Four rows of ornate corridors are set up in the shape of a cross. The stables provide easy access to multiple riding fields and training grounds. A dense row of trees and shrubs keep the stables secluded from wandering city eyes; however, the northern and western wings are viewable from various rooms within the Palace walls.
