What is it with me and finding addictive games! Oh well, at least this one goes toward a cause. My vocabulary level floats consistently between 34-38. I had to stop after 2000 grains of rice (leaving me at level 37) because I was scared I was going to get a little too... obsessed. lol. freerice.com/index.php**Edit** WHOOT I held steadily onto my scores of 38 and 39... and finally made it to 40!!!

Arg, you're right! It is super addicting. I can hold myself in the 33-37 range. *wonders how she's going to get any schoolwork done now*
EDIT: AH, the site stopped working. Pfft.

Argh! I was on this wonderful streak and getting everything right when the page suddenly said ,"Sorry, we are unable to continue right now. Please try back again a little later." Pooh. But on happier note, I have another addicting game! It is to me, at at least. I've beat it several times but each time I play it they continue to stump me on some levels! www.addictinggames.com/bloxors.html

God 50 states. I did that to scare my roommates about my knowledge of united states geography It had colorado and a southern state confused but I still had an error of about 10 miles. I was like "I've been there! and there! and there!"
Of course the ultimate addicting game is World of Warcraft.

Nooo! I was playing 50 States, and I got every state right with no error, but I was one mile off for the capital! Blargh.
I've never played World of Warcraft. What's it like?

Don't go there. I've never played it, but people in the Science Fiction and Fantasy Guild at my school have horror stories. Apparently a lot of them are recovering addicts.

It can be the most addictive game there is. It's a HUGE MMORPG. I'm pretty lucky because I only started playing it because my friends played it so unlike the really scary people who play for glory to be the best etc etc I play for fun with my friends. However. It takes a ton of time to play. You need a lot of time management skills and willpower not to be sucked into playing nine hours at a time and not notice all the time that has past. You have to have a great guild to make World of Warcraft fun. When you have a group of people you know well and make jokes with and help and succeed together, that's when the game is rewarding. It's the people out to be the best no matter whom they step on are the people that get addicted. WoW is really a whole subculture nowadays. It's not limited to geeks and students, people in my guild range from 8 years old (one of the guild leader's sons) to in their 60's. We've got doctors and lawyers in our guild, married couples who play together, two of the guild leaders let their sons play and one of guild members is just starting a tour of Iraq. Besides, if William Shatner and Mr. T play it can't be all that evil can it? www.worldofwarcraft.com/downloads/movies.html
