Royal Library Although the New Palace has several small libraries of its own, the Old Palace still maintains the prestigious Royal Library. All of the original material remains in this library, as it was seen as unnecessary to transfer all of it to the New Palace. It also remains the favourite study place of politicians and pages alike. Beware the librarians, however––they don't tolerate anything less than asbolute and delicate care with the books found in this library. |

Great Hall The Great Hall of the Old Palace now serves as the dining hall for pages and squires, as well as the hall where most of the festivities take place. |

Pages' Wing One of the wings of the Old Palace has been converted into living quarters for the pages. Pages board two to a room, boys on the first floor, girls on the second. |

Squires' Wing Architechts likewise have converted another wing of the Old Palace into a Squires' Wing. The rules and orientation of the Squires' Wing are not nearly so strict, largely because they are depended upon to be more mature than the pages. In the past, squires were often abroad with their knightmasters; times have changed however, and more squires continue their studies at the Palace. |

Training Grounds The Training Grounds enjoy as much use as they always have, but the activies practiced upon them has changed greatly. Marksmanship, swordplay and riding have taken on less chivalrous meaning and have become more of the practices of blood and privelage. |

Classes Instructors are required to hold one class per month, which BOTH pages and squires must make at least one response to. Pages and squires may also create threads "in class" at any time, if they so wish. Unlike at the University, pages and squires learn skills and subjects that pertain to the title they will hold. |

Knight Quarters A separate, robust building was constructed a century ago for residing or visiting knights. It has several chambers for knights and a spacious stable adjacent for knights' destriers and equipment. These days, most of the extra space reserved for knights' equipment has been converted into more stalls, and thus is shared with the Riders. The building itself was built very much like a lodge and the main room is situated on the crest of a hillock that looks down across the training grounds. |

Chamber of the Ordeal The Chamber of the Ordeal is a relic of the past that has yet to die. Squires still must pass the Ordeal to claim their later titles as the result of family tradition. |

Rider Barracks The Queen's Riders still have their headquarters at the main barracks, but much like in the old days they are stretched all over Tortall to secure the highways and maintain justice in small villages and towns. |
