Name: Savannah Fox
Gender: Female
Age: 20
City: Born in Port Caynn;; Moved to Corus
Status: Commoner
Personality
Savannah is certainly not one of those stuck up brats who prance around and say of how much money they've got. If she were, well let us shoot us all now, for she would be the worst stuck up brat, but she is not, thank god. And is actually very sweet, in her own little way. She does have the side of her that wont put up with no crap and will make sure that the crap is properly taken care of. She takes no love in slackers, and she isn't one at all. She has to always be doing something, something to keep her hands moving, or her mind going along. She can't just sit idle and do nothing. It isn't like her. She is a very lovely sewer, and wishes to find a job as a seamstress, but isn't entirely sure if it will work out.
Savvy is one to flirt, but not one to comment. All her father's friends sons use to flirt with her, all the time, and Savvy had gotten use to just flirting back, but she is good at telling one to boot it and leave her alone. Savannah has a lovely time flirting to. She likes to have a guy make her blush and flutter her eyelashes, but to actually comment, and to actually have someone to love, she doesn't think she can do it. So whenever some lovely man decides to advance upon her, with thoughts of Marriage glinting in his eyes, she turns her head and walks of. No matter how darling they are, she just can't find herself to love. Flirt, yes, love, no.
Savannah, if given the chance, would have made many friends. She is easy to get along with and would have been surrounded by a group of friends in her teens, but her Mother would not allow it, thus Savvy never got to show off her wonderful friend-making skills. She hopes to make friends in Corus. Always, ever since she was little, wanted a best friend to share her secrets and get and answer back, not a bark. Although Jasmine was a fine dog and did listen to everything that blubbered out of Savvy's head. And a lot seemed to come from that silly little head of Savannah's. She is quite the chatterbox. Talking to her nanny nonstop, since her Mother would just turn her away every time she strikes a conversation.
Savannah is an excellent seamstress as well as cook. Her mother, when not having a headache, would take her daughter aside and teach her things of the kitchen. Savannah is now an excellent cook as well. She can make a mean stew, and her turkey is to die for. Her Father's favorite was her cherry pie, which Savannah seems to make a lot after his death.
-Personality Flaw: Besides her good nature, and kind heart, Savannah's red hair must have a curse upon her. You hear of fiery red haired girls with a temper to match. This would be Savannah Fox, she has a temper like no other, she doesn't show it in public, but if she is mad at someone or something, she doesn't take time away from yelling at them of how big of a git they are. She is wonderful at this. She hates it afterwards, but during it, her temper, or rather her red hair, gets the better of her and she screaming. !
Appearance
Savannah was born with her mother's pretty red hair. She, personally, hates it. Savvy always hated it. Ever since she was little she cursed her stupid hair and told her mother she wanted her father's hair, nice and soft and blond. But she was instead, stuck with her mother's hair. All red and curly to match. She curses it every time she runs a brush threw it, for even if she brushed it five minutes ago, again its curly. She just hates it.
But her eyes, now that is what the little Fox loves. Her eyes have been compared to the sea millions of time. Savvy's home was built upon the shore of the sea, just before she was born. Her father had already gotten two boats set up and all, so thus she saw the sea all the time, and would stare into it, wondering how her eyes could be such a color. Its more blue then anything else, but all the time, she is told of how they are the color of the sea.
Savvy is a freckle face, or was a freckle face. When she was little, she was covered in them, from head to toe. Like her mother, yet again, something more to look like her mother.
But, as she grew older they faded. Now you can see a few upon her cheeks and nose if you look close enough, and some upon her shoulders, which are never shown anyway.
-Appearance Flaw: Savannah's family is tall. Her mother, her father, and her brothers. But, alas, Savvy is not. It bugs her, being shorter then the rest f her family. It bugs her a lot, oh, and she has inherited her father's overly large nose. She always feels as if she needs to hide it, it seems the one thing she gets from her father she wants to banish as well.
History
Kendra Fox married Jordan for money, she was a poor girl that wanted riches, and Jordan was in the trading business, already had two boats up and running, and had plenty of money. Together the two produced a perfect sturdy boy and a beautiful baby girl. Savannah was the last child born to them. And the only girl. The two only wanted a girl and a boy, nothing more and nothing less. This is what they got. Savannah grew up with nice things surrounding her, dolls, dresses, and the pretty things to put around your necks.
But Savvy didn't like these things much. Sure, she took them in, and she thought that anything she wanted she could have, which wasn't true, but while in school, the kids would pick upon her, saying of how she was little Miss Rich, and why was she in their school. But Savvy stood her ground and still went on to the school, not fearing the kids at all. But every once and awhile she envied them. For they had friends, and she had none. She had no one to tell of when her dog died, no one to share the sea with, for her house had been built near the water and little Savvy grew to love water. Everyday, she would grab hold of her dog's collar and run to the water, where she would strip out of her nice things, and dive into the cold water, her dog, Jasmine, fallowing.
But when Savannah turned thirteen, her only friend died. Jasmine had been her companion since she was little, and now the dog was dead. After that Savvy sulked around her home, not doing anything, not going to dinner with her family. Nothing. Her brother, Weldon was gone, so she didn't have him either. For he went off to be a sailor. Savvy wanted to be a sailor, but her Mother thought it crazy talk of girls going off to be sailors, and wouldn't let Savannah go at all. It was then that her Mother took all connections away from Savannah and her beautiful sea. She was instead pushed into the house and forced to practice upon the piano or something stupid like that.
If you couldn't guess, Savvy wasn't cut out for the life of someone to be stuck inside a home, to act as if she were a noble when she was really just a wealthy commoner. Why should she pretend she was something else. She didn't, and she wouldn't. Later on that year, the year of her fourteenth birthday, her father confronted her about marriage. Savvy thought herself to young. She still made mud pies for Mithros sake. But her father thought otherwise. And the two fought constantly upon the matter, but it soon died away, and Savannah was still husbandless by the age of sixteen.
It was then that misfortunate fell upon the wealthy commoners. Jordan's number one ship had befallen a storm, and was never seen again, taking away much money from the household. It was from this stress, the Healer concluded, that Savannah's father fell ill. He couldn't get up and would just lay around. A year later he was dead. It was not good for the business, and some young man took it over, giving Kendra no money. But Kendra was use to money, and soon married some man with tons of it. Savannah couldn't deal with seeing her Mother candoodle around with some man she'd never met, and soon packed her things, and was off.
Savannah wrote a note to her mother, telling her she was sick of being tied up, like a dog, and wished to be off on her own. Somewhere where she could live and not be tied up. She left it upon a chair in the home she'd never know, and with her nap sack over her shoulder, the young girl of seventeen fled. She had stolen a stash of money from her mother's new husband, and was off in a flash. She planned to join as a sailor, but she first needed to gain money. So she wouldn't be penniless, and she didn't want to live where her mother was, so little Savvy sought out Corus, where she had heard of many things, and it was a few days ride. She bought herself a ride to Corus, with a caravan of traveling performers, and soon she was there. In Corus.
Savannah bought herself a little one room apartment and sought out a job.
